today was syf yayy! (: haha i think pavane sounded quite nice and musical! (: yayy and we were really quite expressive heh so yayy! (: and chicken was haha kinda messy at parts, but i guess overall it was really quite good lah considering that we were nervous and everything (: heh and we got a silver! (: and omg the amazing thing was that all 8 harmoc ensembles that competed today all got silver! omgggg! haha so i guess i don't feel so bad about harmoc getting a silver lah, though it's kinda retarded that everyone got silver hahaha! i bet this is a first in the history of syf lah omg!

and haha anw, results aside, i'm glad that we managed to master pavane and chicken, which were really quite challenging! (: within such a short span of 4 months too omg! (: haha i think it's really a commendable effort lah haha so great job everyone (: and i think pavane really sounds quite nice when we play it now haha ((:

and of course, for the time and effort that every single one in harmoc has put in, haha i am really proud of all of us lah (: we've come a long way since jan yayy haha :D and i'm glad we made this journey together as one ensemble (: it's been a really great experience working so hard together for this syf yayy ((:

2 days more to syf! :D haha omg but seeing as today is almost gonna be over in like 1.5 hours time, i think it's more like there's just 1 day left to syf! omgg! (: i'm excited! (: like super excited haha (: and i dunno haha, experience a mixture of other feelings also lah! (: like some anxiety, and fear, and hopefulness (: a lot of hopefulness lah actually haha (: and of course, faith in rj harmoc! :D so yayy haha ((: really really hope we can do well (: and that we will be really expressive and in sync and play in perfect harmony with each other! and haha pracs nowadays have been really really long and tiring! ): haha like yesterday, we stayed back till like 9 to prac, and today we stayed till like 8! omg and haha it's so funny, cos when we're practising inside the lt, it's like i've lost my sense of time haha it doesn't really feel like so much time has passed when we're like busy practising our nice songs and everything, until prac ends, and then i get this sudden shock when i step out of the lt cos the sky is like suddenly so dark omg haha! wowww! (:

but it's ok haha cos i know that all our long long pracs will help us in our preparation for syf! (: it'll bring us even closer to achieving our dreams on stage! :D hehh i believe we will shine on stage! (: and oops i know sometimes i look super super sian or blackface during prac, but it's not cos i'm really sian or what kayy, it's cos i'm just really really tired! ): but actually, i am really glad we're getting enough practise before the actual thing (:

and i'm really really thankful to the people who have been making me feel better and less sian/tired cos of all the long pracs and stuff! like my jin ning ah ma haha! ((: omg she's so so sweet haha she bought me dinner yesterday! (: cos i had h3 in the afternoon and then had to rush straight back for prac! ): and yepp my ah ma was so worried that i wouldn't get to eat a proper dinner, so she went all the way to j8 to buy subway meal and din tai fung xiao long bao for me! :D omg omg haha (: okays actually i was just planning to eat choc bread for dinner haha my mom packed it for me in the morning cos she was super super worried i wouldn't be able to eat dinner haha so nice also right! ((: haha but then in the end my ah ma insisted on buying me dinner, so i depleted the choc bread way before dinnertime oops haha! :p and yayy haha thanks so much kayy JN ah ma! and another thing that kept me going during the previous 2 long pracs was the thought of being able to open my magic yellow box after prac, and finding lovely surprises and super nice versions of the black squiggly print on my harmoc scores! :D :D it really put a smile on my face yayy! and omggg so exciting haha last fri, miffie's bro came to help us out with prac haha (: and he's really good and really pro and musical omg! :D i quite liked the way we sounded when he was conducting us (: and the way he conducts is so nice too omg it's like he's totally immersed in the music and feeling the music, and the imagery he paints for us is so beautiful ((: it really made pavane more mesmerizing than ever before and i dunno about the rest, but it really made me feel like i was soaring with the music ((: haven't felt this way since like dunno how long ago haha (: i think the last time i got that feeling was when we played canon together last year (: or maybe at the harp concert so long ago when neville didi and i were guestplaying ave maria with a harp ensemble (: so so nice ((: omg and speaking of harps, i really think pavane sounds so much nicer with the harp and the double bass (: especially the harp omg i luv the sound lah it's so angelic and sweet! ((: and it reminds me of my harpist angel barbie doll haha, so pretty and elegant and majestic in an understated kind of way (: haha omg i think i sound like i'm in some weird and strangely poetic/retrospective mood today haha dunno how to describe it also lah haha! (:

and haha all this mad preparation for syf really reminds me very much of strings! (: ahhh i really miss being in strings omg sometimes i wonder to myself if i made the right choice joining harmoc (: haha of course i do believe this was the right choice lah ((: cos the harmoc people are all really really super nice ((: and it's been a really fun and enjoyable and meaningful experience being in harmoc! but sometimes i really do miss strings so so much omg especially recently! i dunno why also omg, but i suddenly keep thinking back to all our previous strings rehearsals and the stringers and our concerts and syf and all the preparations, ms ku, ms khoo and our sian-and-yet-sometimes-quite-amusing sectionals, etc. (: and heh oh yeahh i now have holberg and resphigi and palladio in my mp3! (: hehh it really felt so so nice and nostalgic listening to these pieces omg (: and then i recalled the time we spent sightreading them at first (and going mad with laughter cos we sounded so horrible at first), and then learning it, and polishing it, and then i remembered that spectacular session we had in the tuning room of singapore conference hall before 05 syf! (: i think i remember that the most, because that was the best we ever sounded haha (: hehh i shall go find st paul's suite too haha i remember it was quite nice too (: and i don't remember what we played for syf in 07! omg crapppp ): so i can't go find the sound file even if i wanted to cos i don't remember the title omg crap ):

haha for the whole party we just kept playing games and eating haha omg (: and the games were quite fun lah omg haha we played some funny animal game i forgot what it was called, but it was really super funny omg haha and then we played pass the bomb too! (: it was some word game haha and i think tweek and shing were really damn funny when they were playing it hahaha! :D and then we played some werewolves game that was quite similar to polar bears haha! (: then omg jordan (the guy from mind cafe who was in charge of helping out at the party) planned such a nice surprise lah haha cos he was playing the werewolves game with us, then when everyone's eyes were closed cos the wolves were supposed to be choosing people to eat, he set up the cake and all the candles omg haha so when everyone finally opened their eyes, the cake was like right in the middle of the circle omg so nice haha! :D

and yayy i like the cake a lot a lot omg haha must thank my mom again for designing the cake! and my auntie shanti for buying the cake haha! ((: yayy it's really super super nice lah omg (: and the cake was so yummy omg so chocalatey and moist! :D yayy haha (: omg i ate 3 slices haha feel like a pig omg :p

haha then after eating the cake, we played werewolves for real! (: haha omg so funny lah haha marg and uncle keat were the wolves hahaha i think they made really funny wolves lol especially marg! hahaha :D hehh then after that we played first hand! (: haha super funny also omg lol! and haha it's really quite a confusing game lorh omg! haha but still quite fun hahaha :D

oh and the food was quite nice too! :D except the pasta which was a bit cold heh but it still tasted nice lah (: and the potato salad was nice too yayy and so was the fish dippers (: haha didn't take the chicken wings but they were prob nice lah (: and i was so healthy haha i ate quite a lot of broccoli wowwww haha ((:

in the morning i went to novena church with my parents for easter mass! :D haha i hadn't set foot inside novena church for like 11 years already lol though i used to go there every sunday when i was a toddler haha, but that was in the past lah haha (: lol so today when i went in i was like, totally wowed haha cos i totally forgot that novena church looked like that haha (: i think it's a very nice church yayy haha the altar and the front part of the church is so beautiful and it looks so serene haha ((: hee and last time when i was a little kid i always had the feeling that this church was too big for me haha but today i felt like it was a nice size haha yayy see this shows how much taller i've grown :p and yayy the choir is not bad too haha and the hymns they sang today were quite nice yayy haha :D there was one kiddy-sounding easter hymn haha my mom and i liked it quite a lot hahaha :D up from the waters, child of light! :D heh and today there was frankinscence yayy hahaha i think maybe that's one of the reasons why i like easter and xmas mass haha cos i like the scent of frankinscence yayy yayy! :D

today is good friday yayy (: hehe i think today is my shortest period of fasting for good friday lah seriously haha i broke fast within like 6 hours after eating breakfast heh omg crap i'm getting piggier and piggier each year ): i used to be able to fast for like 10 hours last time lah omg ): haha today doesn't even feel like a day of fasting hehe it just feels like i skipped lunch only omg oops. ): nvm haha next year i shall fast longer yayy yes (: and haha yayy my mom says that we can go for the good friday procession at st joseph's next year yayy ((: so exciting omg i believe my good friday next year will be the most meaningful ever (: and i don't mind having to hang around in the church and wait for like 4 hours before the procession starts heh cos it's gonna be so so cool and so meaningful attending the procession yayy (:

haha and omg yesterday we got our pw results! :D i got A yayy! ((: so so happy yayy haha and yayy our whole class got A too haha omg :D well done everyone! ((:

hee yesterday i went out for dinner with my parents cos it was their wedding anniversary yayy (: haha we went to jack's place yayy (: and omg omg i think bakerzin's cupcakes are really really nice omg they are so so so pretty! ((: the decor looks super nice lah really ((: and i bet they taste really yummy too omg ((: i think it's really so so cool and coincidental haha cos i am a cupcake and bakerzin is only selling these cupcakes for the month of april, which is my birth month! :D cool right omg ((:

oh and then yesterday after dinner we had some super nice cake yayy (: haha it was this coffee cake from classic cakes haha and omg it was so so yummy and heavenly omg (((: the coffee taste was so strong lah and the topping is coffee flavoured cheese, and omg the base was super nice too haha in fact i think it was the best part of the cake lah haha it was some honey toffee thingy i think! (: omg yum i think this is the best coffee cake i've ever eaten ((:

ooh and speaking of cakes and cupcakes, i just remembered why i decided to blog today haha :D okays today my cookie made me super super happy haha and i promised to dedicate a cookie prayer to her on my blog haha especially since she really made my day haha ((:

lol okay here's how it started hehe in the morning my cousin mel sent me an sms like this:

yayy today must be the only day in this whole week when i didn't feel like dying omg haha! (: i think it's cos today was a relatively slack and nice day yayy ((: haha oh and today is passion sunday! (: yayy haha and me and natalie were on lector duty today haha yayy it was quite exciting haha we helped with the gospel reading as well yayy haha it was like some sort of skit dialogue thingy haha (: yayy haha i think palm sunday readings are quite fun and quite happening (: and yayy haha i feel so flattered haha cos natalie said i looked like i lost 10 kg or sth haha, and she said i look skinny and my heels were nice! (: yayy haha :D

and i'm so proud of myself lol today is the first time i chose the palm leaves heh ((: and oh no by the time i reached there, most of the nicer leaves were gone omg ): and while trying to choose a nice leaf i got pricked by all the rest of the leaves there omg they were all super sharp-edged and prickly lah! ): haha and omg i didn't manage to choose a super nice one or whateva haha but nvm yayy i think they don't look bad lah yayy quite nice actually (: and omg it was raining so heavily after mass so i sat in the church for like half an hour plus and prayed yayy ((: feels quite good omg, i've hardly ever managed to get enough "me" time for myself this year ): but today was good heh i actually managed to be able to just sit there peacefully all by myself (: and i wasn't thinking about work, or school or harmoc, or all the other stressful things (: really felt very very good haha i felt quite at peace with myself throughout yayy ((: it's so nice to just sit there and empty myself of all thoughts and emotions (: really felt so nice omg (: and i like the atmosphere there haha it's really very calm and peaceful (: i love it omg (: hee i was really so happy sitting there i could have sat there the whole day (: even though it did get a bit boring at times lah but i still like the atmosphere yayy (: next time if i feel too stressed about life i will go be a nun and live in a nice peaceful church where i don't have to worry about stressful stuff and people and work and expectations and other things ((:

and hee i was a bit bored for a little while so i took a pic of the palm leaves ((: i think they look quite nice yayy (:my poor palm leaves omg ): all the fussy aunties didn't want you cos they thought you didn't look perfect enough but never mind you've found someone nice who appreciates you even though you have spots on your leaves and you don't look that perfect (: hahaha oh wells that was what i was thinking as i was choosing the leaves heh (:

yayy ok back to srp omg sighh!

omg haha haven't blogged for so long hehe! ): haha i just finished typing harmoc scores omg my head is spinning already omg ): lol so much has happened but i don't remember much of it alr haha all i remember was mugging for cts and playing a while after that and then falling sick and now it's back to the usual stressful school life again omg ): sighh and i think nowadays every single school day just passes by in a flash omg it's so meaningless and yet i still like it when time passes so quickly hehe cos it means this stressful year will soon be over ((: and omg harmoc is sapping all the energy out of me omg, but nvm we will persevere and jiayou together yayy (:

and haha omg cts mugging was terrible! ): it was so so boring and i felt so sian everyday of the week omg! ): and haha cts were quite gross in general haha!

oh and haha on the fri after cts ended i went for japanese buffet with my parents at edogawa teppanyaki yayy! ((: haha the food was quite yummy yayy and omg i loved the oysters and the sashimi! (: super yummy omg and the macha ice cream rocked too yayy ((: i ate 3 scoops of ice cream oops! haha and needless to say, i ate a lot of other stuff as well omg so i was super super bloated by the end of dinner lah! and on saturday i had harmoc picnic! it was earth day and we went for earth hour at the esplanade park! (: quite fun haha omg yayy ((:at 8:30 they turned off all the streetlamps there and everything and all the picnickers were using candles! (: and haha i think it's so cool omg most of the guys who are now in harmoc used to be from uniformed groups in sec sch! haha just realised on saturday omg (: hee oh and we played the pig game haha quite fun yayy! :D evee and i were the topscoring pigs oops! :p i see that chicky and ducky have quite a lot in common hehe! (:

then on sunday, i fell sick omg! )): sighh so so so suay lah omg i was preparing to go church when i suddenly felt damn sick omg ): had indigestion in the morning ))): omg it must have been from all that eating and everything lah omg ): so couldn't go church in the end ): darn ): and then after that i had a fever and everything just got worse lah turns out it was gastric flu ): bleahhh so yepp i slept the whole day away and my mom took me to the doctor in the evening! sighhh i hate falling sick omg ):

then haha monday was school as usual alr omg so sian. ): i think school life nowadays is really getting super sian lah it's just work work and more work omg ): sighhh but i'm just really thankful for having great friends i can count on yayy you all know who you are ((:
